What affects the conclusions
Inspection of a particular product does not replace certification of the entire model. Strength and other specialist tests are agreed separately according to the available method and equipment.

Can equipment be examined after repair?
Yes, but retain repair records, the list of replaced parts and original materials. The previous condition cannot always be established.
Will you check serviceability just by switching it on?
Checking operation and examining the causes of a defect have different scopes. A safe functional checking procedure is agreed for the particular product.
